Born Glasgow November 1934. Glassdrummond and Ballynaclosha schools, Newry technical College. Worked as Childrens Nurse in Nazareth Lodge, Belfast and in Newry. Moved to Preston, England in 1955, married Jim Treanor, formerly from Newry in July 1956. Brigid and Eddie lived with May and Jim from late 1971. Looked after Brigid in her final years. Keen golfer. Died in April 2000 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. |

Born Newry Co Down September 1930; one of a family of nine. Abbey Primary School; Worked for a while for Pearl Assurance before moving to Preston in the mid 1950's. Met May when she was working as a nanny in Newry. At that time he was an enthusiastic member of the Newry Bachelor's Club. Worked in drapery for some years before running a cafe for a while. Very active in Sacred Heart Church affairs. Active and enthusiastic member of the Knights of St Cobumbanus. Active in the Knights Club. Loved his bottle of Guinness. Great fun to be with. Died suddenly of a heart attack on 8 March 1986, having, typically, told no one about the symptoms which he had had for years. |
